The Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego – a stunning waterfront hotel located in the heart of downtown San Diego. For the first time in history, LPA is going back to a conference hotel from the past. We loved the Manchester Grand Hyatt so much in 2014, that we decided to finally repeat a property – and it’s completely worthy of the repeat! The hotel features updated, spacious guest rooms and there are a variety of dining options, including the waterfront Sally’s Fish House & Bar. Relax at the rooftop pool with panoramic views of San Diego Bay, and ponder checking out the 24-hour StayFit fitness center,...or just stay at the pool for a little while longer.

The room rate is $189.00 per night plus tax (approximately 13%). You must register with the LPA conference prior to making hotel reservations. After completing your LPA registration online, the system will link you directly to the hotel reservation site. If you register online, or by mail, then you will be sent an email confirmation receipt with an access code to make your hotel reservation. Please note: after making your reservation, the Manchester Grand will charge your credit card or bank card with the first night’s deposit to guarantee your reservation. You will only be permitted to make one room reservation per family registration, due to room block restrictions. AIRPORT & SHUTTLE INFORMATION:

SAN DIEGO AIRPORT INFORMATION

San Diego International Airport (SAN) is the closest airport, approximately 3 miles from the hotel. The Grand Hyatt San Diego does not provide shuttle services; however, there are many other transportation options available.

Taxis: Estimated to be around $15 - $25 for a one-way trip to the Hyatt from the airport. Many companies provide taxicab service at San Diego International Airport. If you need a taxi, simply follow the signs leading to the Transportation Plazas. A Customer Service Representative will place you with the first available taxi, unless you specify a particular taxicab company.

Uber, Lyft, and Other Rideshare Options: : Several companies offer rideshare services at San Diego International Airport. The following companies are currently permitted to operate at the airport: Lyft, Uber, Opoli, and Wingz.

Designated rideshare passenger pickup locations are listed below:

Terminal 1: Travelers will exit baggage claim and use the new pedestrian crosswalk, which has a traffic light to provide access to the ridesharing pickup area. See signage for assistance.
Terminal 2: Upon exiting baggage claim, use the main crosswalk to Transportation Plaza. Ridesharing pick-up is located in the second lane on the right. See signage for assistance.

OTHER AIRPORT INFORMATION

Santa Ana Airport (SNA) is approximately 85 miles from the Hyatt, while Long Beach Airport (LGB) is around 110 miles away.

AIRPORT ASSISTANCE

TSA Cares provides information on security procedures aimed to help passengers with disabilities, medical conditions and individuals needing additional assistance to better prepare for the security screening process.

TSA Pre-Check can make the airport security screening process smoother and faster. That’s mainly because members can access lines that tend to be shorter and do not have to remove shoes, belts, 3-1-1 liquids, laptops, or light jackets.

ACCESSIBLE TRANSPORTATION:

While some Uber services are accessible, some attendees may prefer to reserve an accessible van ahead. These private services all require advance reservations.

DRIVING & PARKING INFORMATION:

The San Diego Manchester Grand Hyatt is located on Market Street, and self-parking for our members is offered at 25% off the daily rate, which at this book’s publishing date is $45. The self-parking garage does not accommodate oversized vehicles, height clearance 6 feet 7 inches. The valet parking rate is $65 per night, and maximum parking height of the valet garage is 8 feet 2 inches.
