GREAT ADVICE FOR ATTENDEES:
This packet is designed to tell you what is included at the LPA Conference but there are several things not included that you should take note of:
- You are responsible for your hotel room (must be 18+ to check-in) and any taxes or costs associated with it. You are also responsible for your own food.
- If you are going to have roommates, make sure you know who is paying for which expenses beforehand.
- Be sure to have money for taxi fares, tips, and other incidentals.
- Check with your bank before leaving home about branch ATMs in Baltimore or what fees you could incur.
- Great tools to bring with you are cell phones for every member of your family over age 10, or walkie-talkies, a highlighter to mark your conference book, and personal business cards. You will be meeting many people and making new connections – a family or individual business card is a quick way to exchange information easily.
More information about attending conferences can be found on the LPA website under the Member Center tab. We especially recommend reading the articles if this is your first conference.
